Easter Beach Trek
Get outdoors and enjoy a coastal alpaca trek, with stunning views of the Mourne Mountains, Carlingford Lough and Irish Sea.
Join us for Easter 2024 from Thursday 28th March to Saturday 6th April 2024 (closed Sundays). Meet your friendly alpaca and take them for a leisurely stroll down country lanes, enjoying the stunning views as you head down to our beautiful, golden beach. Our Alpacas absolutely adore being walked on the beach. Join them for some fun in the sand and have an experience unlike any other. There are lots of opportunities for pictures, Instagram stories and Tik Tok videos, during your alpaca trek experience. Refreshments included.
Each paying visitor will also get their own Easter Egg at the end of the walk.
What to expect
You will learn about our alpacas, a health and safety briefing, introduced to your alpaca, trek your alpaca to Cranfield beach through country lanes to the beach and back to base, learn about the local history of the Vikings, WWII American air base, feed them on their return and meet the rest of the alpacas.
Our beach treks usually last approximately 90-120 minutes. Refreshments are included. Unfortunately, we don’t allow any pets on the walks.
We are so lucky to have one of the best beaches in Ireland on our doorstep – we know you will all love it too!

Beach Trek FAQ’s
How long does the trek last?
The trek normally lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours.
Is the beach trek suitable for wheelchair users?
Unfortunately, due to the terrain, it is not suitable for wheelchair users. However, our Alpaca Adventure Trail experience is perfect for people with mobility issues.
Where do you walk?
We trek along country lanes to the beach and back, however we are on a country road for a short distance. The alpacas are used to vehicles passing them – please follow all instructions from your trek guides.
How early should I arrive for my booking?
Please ensure that you arrive 10 minutes before your alpaca experience is due to begin, so that it can start on time. If you miss your alpaca experience start time, then this will invalidate your booking. We, along with the other guests, greatly appreciate your assistance with this.
